The Keurig® Bolt Carafe Brewing System is a commercial-grade system that will transform the way you think about brewing a pot of coffee whether it be in a workplace, hotel or cafeteria setting.
The Bolt system features our new Bolt packs, which are sealed to keep the coffee fresh, ensuring consistently excellent coffee time after time. The Bolt packs' plastic cups are made from polypropylene/#5 plastic and can be separated from the lid and filter and recycled wherever polypropylene/#5 plastics are accepted, which is currently in approximately 60% of U.S. communities.* We encourage users to check locally with their municipality or waste hauler to determine if their community accepts polypropylene/#5 plastic for recycling.
Once the Bolt system becomes available in late fall this website will have more information on recyclability options for U.S. communities. This includes a zip code based recycling lookup tool powered by Earth911, which will allow Bolt system users to easily determine if their communities accept #5 plastic for recycling. For those who do not currently have access to #5 plastic recycling in their communities, this website will also offer a mail-back option through our partnership with Preserve. Through its "Gimme 5" program, Preserve enables people to return #5 plastic for recycling into new, sustainably designed products.
